Epic historical drama starring Orlando Bloom and Eva Green. 12th century French blacksmith’s son Balian travels to Jerusalem with his father, and grows up to defend the city from wayward, unprincipled Templar knights. 

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – 11:00pm, Film4

Swedish adaptation of the first in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy about disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist whose investigation into the death of a young girl introduces him to misfit computer hacker Lisbeth Salander. 

Klute – 11:50pm, BBC2

Jane Fonda won the best actress Oscar for her role as call girl Bree Daniels who is stalked by a homicidal maniac. Co-starring Donald Sutherland as the small-town detective sent to track him down.
