The Royal Tenenbaums – 4.10pm, Sky Movies Indie

Quirky comedy drama starring Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller and Gwyneth Paltrow, about a dysfunctional New York family who are reunited with their estranged patriarch when he feigns terminal illness.

Sabrina – 4.45pm, Film4

Starring Audrey Hepburn as a young beauty caught between two eligible brothers (Humphrey Bogart and William Holden), this romantic comedy boasts impeccable performances, plentiful laughs and sophisticated polish.

Bridget Jones’s Diary – 9.00pm, ITV2

Renee Zellweger is the endearingly disastrous 30-something Bridget Jones, courted by dashing duo Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) in this hugely entertaining Richard Curtis classic.

Predator – 9.00pm, Film4

A Schwarzenegger classic packed full of breathtaking action and special effects about an elite US military squad whose top-secret jungle mission is thrown into chaos by a merciless alien game hunter.

American Gangster – 11.25pm, ITV4

Based on a true story, this Ridley Scott directed New York crime drama follows drugs lord Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington), who is doggedly pursued by honourable cop Richie Roberts (Russell Crowe).

Candy – 2.05am, Channel 4

Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish star in this relationship drama about an aspiring poet who falls in love with a young artist, Candy, before the couple’s tragic descent into heroin addiction puts an impossible strain on their union.
