International telephone lines take a long time to connect but after assorted bleeps and engaged tones, finally we were put through. "Hello," we said. "Is that Interpol? Radio Times here. Yes. In the UK. We're calling about Stuart Baggs the Brand, he's the guy who's supposed to do us these Apprentice videos. Yes. Him. We know. But we haven't got anyone else."
You expect Interpol to speak English but swearing is swearing in any language and we were able to interject before they went too far. "No, we don't want him either. We're just calling to make sure that Malta doesn't have an extradition treaty."
We're probably wrong about this but we think they then said Stuart Baggs the Brand is the subject of a debate in the Maltese parliament. He's since sent us a video and doesn't say anything about that at all, but then he also doesn't say a great deal about The Apprentice...
