"Coming from a group — particularly one like the Script that hasn’t been the toast of the press — is a huge advantage," says Danny O’Donoghue. "I’m used to being the underdog and I work best under those circumstances. I was worried that because of the clout of the others I would get overlooked in the auditions, but I was chosen over Tom,Will and Jessie on more than one occasion!" Hannah Berney, 21, Chepstow: History and French student Hannah from South Wales is out to prove she’s got a voice to match her brains. Danny: “I could hear that there’s a massive voice there just waiting to be unleashed.” Aleks Josh, 17, Stevenage: The young part-time lifeguard says music has given him a focus in life, and his boyish charms certainly won over the audience. Danny: “It is an absolute honour to have someone so young and so talented on my team.” Max Milner, 21, London: Max has already played the lead in a UK tour of Footloose, but now is set on becoming an artist in his own right. Danny: “I didn’t know what to expect when I turned around, but I was so glad he was there with the amp, the guitar… I think he’s great.” Bo Bruce, 27, Wiltshire: Bo (aka Lady Catherine Brudenell- Bruce, daughter of the Earl of Cardigan) has already appeared on a Channel 4 unsigned music show. Danny: “I came on the show to find a unique voice that the second you heard it would stand out. I firmly believe she has that type of voice.” David Julien, 23, Manchester: The former supermarket shelf-stacker bravely sang one of Danny’s songs at his audition. Danny: “I heard the same heart and the same intention and emotion that were there when I wrote it.
