Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has lent her voice to a popular Disney TV series.

Osbourne will voice Captain Hook’s mother (pictured below) in Jake and the Neverland Pirates, making her debut in an episode of the show called Mama Hook Knows Best.

In her first appearance on the show, Mama Hook will reprimand her piratical son for stealing from the children of Neverland and teach him an important lesson about sharing.

Discussing her new TV role, Sharon Osbourne said: “Mama Hook was a pleasure to play and she’s quite similar to me in that she’s strong and wants her boy to be the best he can be – she doesn’t like it when he’s causing trouble.

“Also, it’s just great to do a job where you don’t have to get all made up in the morning; it’s all about the voice! I can’t wait to hear what families think about the newest addition to Neverland.”

The last occasion Osbourne lent her voice to a cartoon character was in 2006, when she played Christophe in the film Garfield 2.
