Benedict Cumberbatch, star of BBC1's Sherlock, has been nominated in the Leading Actor category in this year's Bafta TV Awards, alongside Dominic West (pictured), for his portrayal of serial killer Fred West in ITV mini-series Appropriate Adult, John Simm in BBC1 thriller Exile and newcomer Joseph Gilgun in Shane Meadows's Channel 4 drama This Is England '88.
