Gary Barlow will take up his judging role on The X Factor again for the new series this summer.
Barlow joined the show last year, doing a respectable job of filling Simon Cowell’s shoes as the talent show’s head judge.
He will sit alongside Louis Walsh, who has already confirmed he will be involved (several times). Last year's female judges, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa, are yet to confirm whether they will be returning.
Take That star Barlow, who is currently working on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, said: "I'm thrilled to be back and really looking forward to working with The X Factor team again. The fact that a superstar could just walk out on that stage is very exciting."
Simon Cowell said of the signing: "Gary has earned his place and I'm excited to be working with him again."
ITV's director of television Peter Fincham added: "Gary quickly established himself as a key member of The X Factor judging panel, drawing on his years of experience in the music industry to help in the search for our undiscovered singing stars."
Open auditions for the new series have already taken place, with the judges set to be involved at the next stage of the contest. This year, hopefuls can also apply through Facebook and will be allowed to enter regardless of whether they already have management deals.
