The trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been released, giving curious film fans their first look at the Alien prequel.
Prometheus tells the story of a crew of space explorers who embark on a voyage in the late 21st century to a distant planet, where they encounter a form of alien technology that could spell doom for mankind.
The trailer sees the team of planet-hopping scientists, made up of Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Michael Fassbender, land the Prometheus on a grey, desolate planet, where they discover a gigantic temple-like building.
Inside, they find strange objects, obscure hieroglyphics and, most ominously, a giant humanoid face.
And from there everything hits the fan, with the trailer showing glimpses of infections, an alien vessel bound for Earth, double-crossing crew members and plenty of peril.
Prometheus is due to be released in cinemas on Friday 8 June. Are you looking forward to seeing it? Post a comment and let us know…
