Amazon’s LoveFilm has struck a deal with Disney-owned ABC to make the broadcaster’s TV On Demand service part of its streaming offering.
Shows such as Desperate Housewives, Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters and Castle will be available to LoveFilm members on a non-exclusive basis, BT Vision and Talk Talk having already signed similar deals with ABC.
The terms of the agreement also mean series will not be available until after their first showing on UK TV.
The deal is part of a continuing trend that sees on-demand providers, including games console manufacturers and online services, aggregating content from a variety of different owners.
