Missing Pat Evans? Well never fear, the larger than life soap legend will forever live on in music thanks to hip-hop artist Jester Jacobs.

His seven-minute tribute to the late Walford resident starts “this is to a legend, a fallen soldier, rest in peace Pat” before going on to chronicle the character’s trials and tribulations on BBC’s infamous Albert Square.

The rap, which is being hailed by Twitter users as an “amazing” and “brilliant” dedication, continues: “Delivered early in the morn, wrapped up in her cot by dawn, Patricia Harris was born.

“She met Frank Butcher, who was hooked up an East End goon, he bedded her in spite of his girlfriend June.”

Famed for her dangly earrings, Pat Evans, who was played by Pam St Clement since 1986, passed away early in the New Year just days after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

A special version of Julia’s theme - the score used during Walford’s biggest occasions - was created by EastEnders composer Simon May to bid farewell to the character.

It is a timely tribute as we say goodbye to Pat Butcher with her funeral on BBC 1/BBC1 HD tonight at 8pm.
