The Killing's Sofie Grabol chooses the winner of Radio Times Lund-a-like competition

For fans of Danish crime drama The Killing, Sarah Lund’s sweater is as treasured as the dogged detective herself. Yet when we offered one as a prize – encouraging RT readers to don their favourite sleuthing knitwear, call forth the essence of Lund and photograph the evidence – we couldn’t have predicted the response.

We showed our gallery of entrants to Sarah Lund herself, actress Sofie Grabol, and asked her to choose her favourites.

“I have just loved to follow the photo gallery of all my British sisters in crime solving,” she told us. “They're just amazing in details and effort. I'm in love with them all - women, men and animals!

“It's impossible to choose a favourite! But forced, I must say that two of them are truly extraordinary and wonderful: one is the woman who actually ‘wounded’ her brow, and even on the correct side of the face - what an eye for details. Being a nerd for details myself, I do admire that one.

“The other one is a woman, sitting with phone in hand, clearly getting important information concerning a murder case, but with tunnel vision noticing something even more important outside the frame - I just love her! She's definitely my number one of them all.”

So congratulations to Sofie’s number one choice, Michele Platman (pictured at the top of the page), who wins first prize of a Gudrun & Gudrun Faroe Islands jumper, identical to the one worn in the series. Sofie’s second choice, Lou Elderton (top left), gets a runners-up prize of a Deramores knit-your-own-Killing-II-jumper kit, along with our two favourites.

Elaine Davies (above right) is quite simply the best Lund-a-like we’ve seen, while Susannah Gent (left) gets a special commendation for her detailed crime scene investigation.
