Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates will present the BBC's new talent show, The Voice.

Best known as co-presenter of ITV's daytime magazine programme, This Morning, Willoughby has also fronted five series of Dancing on Ice for the commercial broadcaster, as well as The Xtra Factor and appearing as a regular panellist on ITV2 gameshow Celebrity Juice.

Yates has made his name as a BBC Radio 1 presenter, hosting the network's Request and Chart Shows as well as fronting Glastonbury Festival coverage, Reading, T in the Park and hosting the Mobo Awards.

Holly said: “I’m so excited to be hosting The Voice. When it launched in America I watched one of the shows and thought it was just a fantastic format, and when I heard it was coming to the UK I thought to myself how incredible it would be to be a part of it. It’s going to be one rollercoaster of a ride and I can’t wait to get started!”

Reggie added: "I’m so delighted to get this job and be part of such a credible music show. The format of The Voice in America has worked brilliantly and I have no doubt it will be just as successful on British TV."

BBC1 controller Danny Cohen commented: "Holly and Reggie feel like a perfect partnership for The Voice. They are both big fans of the show and will bring a huge amount of passion and enthusiasm to the production."

At present only one celebrity coach has been announced for the programme, pop star Jessie J.  Further coaching announcements are expected in the near future.

The Voice, based on a Dutch format created by the man behind Big Brother, is currently one of the most popular talent shows in America, where its judging panel consists of Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera.

Auditions are already open for the UK version of the show, which is expected to broadcast in spring 2012.
