Piers Morgan is giving up his judge's post on America’s Got Talent in order to concentrate on his CNN talk show.
The former Daily Mirror editor made the announcement last night on his Twitter feed and admitted that it had been a struggle doing both jobs.
“I'm leaving America's Got Talent after six wonderful years. Turned out that juggling's harder than it looks, so I'm going to focus on CNN,” said Morgan.
He joined the NBC talent series in 2006, but struck a deal last summer to take over veteran talk-show host Larry King’s slot on CNN, which required Morgan to divide his time between the two programmes.
After bidding farewell to the show, Morgan appeared upbeat, tweeting: “Big thanks to NBC, Fremantle, and of course, my friend Simon Cowell, for giving me such a great opportunity.
“It's been a blast,” he added.
