Our Score
They leap out at you from the pages of your newspaper and induce gasps of surprise when they reach the TV bulletins, but, for all their drama and human interest, true-life stories only occasionally make for good cinema. America's TV-movie industry churns them out by the dozen, the less likely the better. Here, a mother discovers her baby was switched at birth and then crusades to regain her natural child from his abusive adoptive parents as well as fighting to keep custody of her "son". Lisa Hartman Black unfortunately dominates proceedings at the expense of more talented co-stars Louise Fletcher and Bruce Davison.
