The first in colour and the last written by Norman Hudis, this Carry On is the most charming in the series. Set aboard the SS Happy Wanderer, it charts the course of captain Sid James's tenth anniversary cruise, during which the members of his new crew seek to find their sea legs. Kenneth Connor enjoys one of his best outings as the nervous ship's doctor and Lance Percival has fun as the cook-it-and-see chef. However, the star of the show is Esma Cannon, whose table tennis game with Kenneth Williams and awesome drinking spree are the pick of some very funny moments.

Plot Summary

Comedy starring Sidney James and Kenneth Williams. The SS Happy Wanderer is all set for a Mediterranean cruise when the captain discovers that his crew is largely made up of willing but not very able newcomers.
