Our Score
It's amnesia again, this time involving the teenage victim of a car crash having to learn how to do everything all over again. Glum stuff, not mitigated by the earnest and tortuous family saga woven around the sorrowful central theme. Talented Teri Garr is wasted here, but nonetheless is excellent, as are all the cast. But did it all have to be so strained? The family members experience the whole gamut of emotions and crises: guilt, anger, interdependency. It's all very American, and maybe a little too intense for UK palates.

A teenager is involved in a tragic car accident, leaving him with severe amnesia. During his struggle to come to terms with alienation and the consequent rebellion that ensues, his family are forced to accept the boy they once knew so well is now a stranger.
