Things must have been bad at Hammer for the once-famous horror studio to resort to big-screen TV spin-offs such as this woefully unfunny comedy based on the popular ITV series. Windsor Safari Park must also have been desperate for custom to allow its animals to be subjected to the pathetic gags cracked by a cast clearly going through the motions. You'd have thought there was simply no more mileage left in the jokes about Blakey's schedules, Olive and Arthur's marriage and Stan and Jack's allergy to work, but they managed to squeeze out a third movie - Holiday on the Buses - the following year.
Plot Summary
Comedy based on the popular 1970s television series, starring Reg Varney. Bus driver Stan Butler's family are less than happy at the prospect of his impending marriage, especially as they all rely on his wages.
