Penny Points to Paradise

Our Score
This cheap and cheerful curio stars The Goon Show's Harry Secombe, Spike Milligan and Peter Sellers. Although down-to-earth Harry Flakers (Secombe) has had a big win on the pools, he still takes his annual holiday at his favourite Brighton boarding house. While at the seaside he must contend with several individuals who want to get their hands on his fortune. The plot, such as it is, is merely an excuse for the trio to each do their comic turns, while the acting is mannered and the slapstick humour weak, making this one for Goons fans only.

Harry Flakers wins £100,000 on the football pools and celebrates at a crowded Brighton guest house with his friend Spike. While there a gold-digging girl sets her sights on him and two counterfeiters plan to steal his winnings. Comedy, starring Harry Secombe, Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, Alfred Marks, Vicki Page, Paddie O'Neil and Bill Kerr.
