Our Score
Clearly cloned from the Airport disaster movie series, this in-flight entertainment is one of TV moviedom's better efforts, helped by the fact that it's based on a true incident that occurred in 1983. A cast of the usual TV suspects - William Devane, Shelley Hack, Mariette Hartley - is put through its panic-station paces as Flight 174 mysteriously runs out of fuel in midair and the tense search begins for a landing site. Those with a fear of flying should be warned off, but everybody else will find enough low-rent suspense and ham acting on offer to make it an enjoyable time-waster.

Summary

Fact-based drama about a passenger plane which runs out of fuel during a routine flight over the wilds of Canada, forcing the crew to prepare for a dangerous emergency landing in Winnipeg. Starring William Devane, Scott Hylands and Nicholas Turturro.
