The untimely death of Bruce Lee saw a wave of films made to cash in on his legend, and this must rank as the strangest of all the "Bruceploitation" genre. Bruce Leong stars as the little dragon himself, dispatched to the underworld post-mortem only to find it ruled over by a lascivious king and a bunch of hoodlums including the Godfather, the Man with No Name, James Bond, the Exorcist and Dracula. Throw in some sex scenes with Emmanuelle (who else) and comedy relief courtesy of Popeye and you have an unhinged, madcap and flagrantly copyright-breaching caper that's as bizarre as it is entertaining. For all its zaniness, though, Lee is portrayed in a heroic light, even going so far as to apologise to wife Linda for his many Earthly infidelities. But sober reflections are kept to a minimum, as Leong affects his best Bruce moves to beat up various zombies and mummies and restore order to the afterlife. Of course it's ridiculous, but it's also insanely fun.
