Our Score
Amanda Seyfried shimmers in this entertainingly sleazy, star-studded take on the late porn star Linda Lovelace's "true story". Growing up in a strict household headed by her stringent mother (Sharon Stone, virtually unrecognisable), Lovelace marries abusive Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), a lowlife who forces her into pornographic films. Deep Throat makes her a star but the marital and career abuse continues. Humanising the story is Seyfried's remarkable performance along with Hank Azaria as porn director Gerry Damiano. A cleaned-up version of reality, Lovelace is a surprisingly watchable and endearingly heartbreaking swipe at the truth.

Biopic of 1970s adult film star Linda Lovelace, contrasting her glamorous reputation following the release of groundbreaking adult movie Deep Throat - which made her an international star - to the dark account of exploitation and abuse she revealed to the world years later. Starring Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone and Robert Patrick.
