A Wedding on Walton's Mountain

The first of three TV movies made in 1982 that followed up the long-running series about the Blue Ridge Mountain family. Most of the cast return, though notable absentees are Olivia and John-Boy. Old stagers Ralph Waite and Ellen Corby headline, but the emphasis is firmly on Mary Beth McDonough (Erin) as she wavers between prospective groom Morgan Stevens and jealous former beau Louis Welch. Fans of the series will be in heaven, though younger viewers not brought up with the saga may be scratching their heads and wondering what the fuss is about.
