Desolation Canyon

Desolation Canyon

David S Cass Sr (2006)

Our Score
This western may be prettty innocuous, but it can't be accused of stinting on plot. Patrick Duffy stars as the sheriff who teams up with retired gunslinger and old Civil War buddy Stacy Keach to track down a gang of bank robbers that includes Keach's wayward son, Victor Browne, who has kidnapped his own son as an insurance gambit. Added to the mix are a couple of bounty hunters (played by A Martinez and Franc Ross), who want the outlaws for crimes committed in Mexico. Sadly, the action lacks generic grit and guts and always feels like a showcase for stars of yesteryear.

A boy is taken hostage by a gang of bank robbers, prompting his grandfather to join forces with the local sheriff to track down those responsible and bring the child safely home - unaware that bounty hunters are also in pursuit of the outlaws. Western, starring Patrick Duffy, Stacy Keach and David Rees Snell.
