In this message-laden festive fantasy, Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond) stars as the multitasking housekeeper-cum-modern-day Mary Poppins, who works excessively speedy magic on an emotionally wounded widower (James Van Der Beek) and his unruly six-year-old twins. But while the family's problems might be solved in a rush, the film itself is surprisingly lethargic. Events are also so slight that they skim over the uncanny abilities of the so-called "Mrs Miracle", leaving veteran actress Roberts to make her mark with her dryly amusing delivery and general warmth. Ultimately, it's a wasteful way to get to a predictable, perfect Christmas finale - even if Van Der Beek does enjoy the opportunity to showcase his sensitive side.

Plot Summary

Seasonal romantic drama starring Doris Roberts as multi-tasking nanny Mrs Merkle, who comes to the rescue when widower Seth Webster struggles to organise Christmas for his two small boys.
