This modest piece of computer-generated fluff isn't a match for the more impressive likes of WALL-E and Kung Fu Panda. That said, Space Chimps is watchable enough, and will certainly keep smaller children entertained. After a space probe vanishes into a wormhole, it winds up in the hands of evil dictator Zartog (voiced by Jeff Daniels) on a distant planet. Ham III (Andy Samberg), grandson of the first chimp in space, joins a crew of trained chimp astronauts on a mission to discover how hazardous a manned retrieval would be. But the apes are soon involved in all kinds of adventures as they try to thwart Zartog's nefarious plans themselves. Bright, breezy and fun, Space Chimps is The Right Stuff simian-style.
