Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the "eraser" of the title - a federal marshal for the Witness Protection Program who helps witnesses by erasing their identities (which usually involves him blowing up some building or other). Of course, for the purposes of this action movie, things don't go to plan, and he and damsel-in-distress Vanessa Williams have to dodge bullets, explosions and quips before our hero can save the day. This disappointing adventure lacks the nonstop gung-ho action and entertainment we've come to expect from a Schwarzenegger movie and won't satisfy even die-hard Arnie fans.
Plot Summary
Action thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Caan and Vanessa Williams. John Kruger, a US government "eraser" - an agent who specialises in protecting witnesses - is assigned a new case: Lee Cullen, who has exposed corruption within the defence industry. At first Cullen is unwilling to go into hiding, but she soon agrees when it becomes clear that she is facing a ruthless adversary.
