Review

Our Score
Having starred in 161 cartoons, won numerous Oscars and danced with Gene Kelly and Esther Williams, surely Tom and Jerry deserved more respect than this. Director Phil Roman and writer Dennis Marks should have Spike the bulldog set upon them for making the now-talking duo become friends in adversity - the whole point of those marvellous shorts was the comic mayhem, not the tacky bonhomie. But children who are not familiar with the original cartoons may find some enjoyment here - if they can get past the ghastly songs.

Summary

Animated comedy in which the duelling cat and mouse duo are forced to work together for a change after they are thrown out on the streets. The pair come to the aid of a girl living with her wicked aunt, and help her to find her missing father. With the voices of Richard Kind, Dana Hill, Andi McAfee and Henry Gibson.
