Our Score
Going by the glut of American TV movies on the subject, it sometimes feels that there must be a neighbourhood eccentric around every corner in the USA. Based on the inevitable true story, this tells the tale of a seemingly normal housewife whose increasingly oddball behaviour begins to deeply concern her husband. It soon becomes clear that his worries are tragically justified. Stars Valerie Bertinelli and Stephen Caffrey are helped by a competent enough supporting cast (Anne Ramsay, Millie Perkins, Jerry Hardin), but there are few surprises in either the script or the direction.
