Our Score
This is another substandard entry in the screen career of Elvis Presley. Here he plays a movie star who travels to the Middle East to attend the premier of his latest film and gets caught up in a plot to assassinate a local ruler. The exotic locations add a frisson of interest to the usual formula, but this is negated by the lacklustre plot and forgettable songs. Cult TV fans may recognise co-star Mary Ann Mobley as the first actress to play The Girl from UNCLE on the small screen, before Stefanie Powers stepped into the role.

A kidnapped American film star gets involved with an Arabian princess and soon finds himself embroiled in a dastardly plot to overthrow her father. Musical comedy, which gave Elvis Presley the chance to show off his martial arts skills between songs including So Close - Yet So Far, Hey Little Girl and Shake that Tambourine. With Mary Ann Hobley, Fran Jeffries and Michael Ansara.
