The mind boggles at the contrivances screenwriters come up with to justify extravagant dance numbers. Here, believe it or not, it's ruthless property development. Privileged Emily (Kathryn McCormick) wants to be a dancer, but lacks edge. Street-smart Sean (Ryan Guzman) already has plenty of edge: he's head honcho with Miami's top flash-mob dance crew The Mob. Dance and romance blossom when the two team up to mount dance protests against plans by Emily's developer dad to raze and redevelop Sean's neighbourhood. This fourth instalment in the popular series - and the second in 3D - boasts the usual cute kids, dynamic and decently filmed dance sequences, and a plot that's pure corn. Preposterous story not withstanding, it's bright, breezy, cheesy - and all really rather enjoyable.
Plot Summary
An aspiring dancer comes to Miami to pursue her dreams, and falls in love with the leader of a street performance crew. When she learns the group's neighbourhood is to be demolished, driving the residents from their homes, she joins forces with them to organise a protest show. Dance drama sequel, starring Kathryn McCormick and Ryan Guzman.
