Review

Our Score
Inspired by a shamelessly sentimental song, the storyline of this winsome TV movie follows lawyer Rob Lowe as he rediscovers the meaning of Christmas. He has a change of heart through his encounters with mechanic Hugh Thompson, music teacher Kimberly Williams and their son, Max Morrow, who is determined to buy his mommy some cherished red shoes before she succumbs to a fatal heart condition. Lowe also strives to save his marriage to Maria Del Mar, who abandons big business to substitute at Williams's school. 'Tis the season to be corny, and you won't find much that can top this mawkish, melodramatic mush.

Summary

A little boy is determined to do whatever he can to buy his dying mother a pair of expensive red shoes. Along the way, his tireless efforts inspire an amazing transformation in the life of a cold-hearted lawyer struggling to cope with the slow disintegration of his marriage. Festive family drama, starring Rob Lowe, Maria Del Mar, Max Morrow and Kimberly Williams.
