Our Score
Using chaos theory as the pretext for setting in motion a domino run of coincidences and catastrophes, this cleverly constructed comedy touches on everything from machismo and European unity to incest and Star Trek. Permitting each character their moment in the spotlight, director Fernando Colomo expertly picks his way through the maze of tangled relationships that forms after Coque Malla's mother sends him to visit her sister in London, in order to learn about life. Debunking cultural stereotypes at every plot turn, the film even has sufficient courage of its comic convictions to attempt an audacious socio-political finale.
