The equivalent of watching ten episodes of a Saturday matinée serial rolled into one Die Hard package, director Simon Wincer's pleasure cruise through the comic-book pages of Phantom creator Lee Falk's masked avenger story is a retro fantasy adventure. Billy Zane plays the orphaned jungle "ghost" trying to stop master criminal Treat Williams unlocking the magical powers of three legendary skulls. A glamorous cocktail of lost kingdoms, supernatural excitement and flashy special effects, Wincer's gently self-mocking tone makes this pulp-fiction treasure a slice of exotic escapism.

Plot Summary

Action adventure starring Billy Zane. Ace crime fighter Kit Walker, known as the Phantom, is the latest in a long line of family members to don the costume of the legendary hero. But he faces his toughest task yet when a gang of pirates sets out to find three magical skulls, which, when united, bring unlimited power to the holder.
