Our Score
This perfectly preserved slice of pop culture from a bygone era is a starring vehicle for "America's Sweethearts", Eddie Fisher, king of the pre-rock 'n' roll pop charts, and his new bride Debbie Reynolds. It's a musical remake of the popular Ginger Rogers movie Bachelor Mother, the one about a salesgirl who has to pretend to be an unwed mother to hold on to her job. Unfortunately, Fisher proves to be no film star and this comedy of errors remains a silly, laboured farce. Ironically, Reynolds was actually pregnant with daughter Carrie Fisher during the making of the film.

Musical comedy, starring Debbie Reynolds as a salesgirl who finds an abandoned baby which everyone then assumes belongs to her and boyfriend Eddie Fisher. With Adolphe Menjou, Tommy Noonan and Robert H Harris.
