Review

Our Score
Charlton Heston is the South American plantation owner battling his red-haired wife (Eleanor Parker) and a plague of red ants, which provides a spectacular climax to this riveting tale directed by Byron Haskin (The War of the Worlds). Both an adventure and a thought-provoking drama, the movie is beautifully photographed by Ernest Laszlo and remains one of Heston's most interesting early films, before he starred in such epics as The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur.

Summary
