Amanda Seyfried stars as a young woman driven to the edge by fear in this meandering chase thriller. When her elder sister goes missing from home, a young waitress (Seyfried) is convinced it's the work of the same serial killer she escaped from a year earlier, although the police still believe she fabricated her own abduction. After harassing potential witnesses with a gun, Seyfried herself is pursued by the authorities and desperately tries to avoid arrest before the kidnapping becomes a murder. What could have been a tense and involving story is let down by the sluggish pacing, unexplained plot turns and stilted dialogue. Despite Seyfried's suitably wide-eyed performance, director Heitor Dhalia holds too loose a grip on the suspense, driving the film into a succession of dramatic dead ends.
