Review

Our Score
A much awaited but ultimately disappointing appearance from a frail Katharine Hepburn, playing a rich recluse who discovers prisoner-on-the-run Ryan O'Neal hiding in her attic. Hepburn is as accomplished as ever, but the script lets her down by giving her some decidedly mawkish speeches. O'Neal, looking rather raddled, does his best with the material available. Co-executive producer is Burt Reynolds, who intended to star in this himself until other commitments intervened. One must be thankful for small mercies.

Summary

A reclusive spinster finds an escaped petty thief in her attic, but rather than turning him in, decides to try and reform his crooked character. The mismatched pair form an unlikely friendship that is destined to end in sadness. Comedy drama, starring Katharine Hepburn, Ryan O'Neal and Helena Carroll.
