Our Score
Of the music-hall turns who made films, Lancashire comedian Frank Randle was among the most successful. But his appeal inevitably exemplifies the North-South divide and his success - including that of his five Somewhere films - was largely confined to home ground. In the third of the series, Randle and three of his regular army pals are invited by a fellow private to have some off-duty fun at his stately home. Their host is too busy courting an ATS girl to realise the chaos the quartet are causing. It may be unsophisticated, and more a series of incidents than a cohesive narrative, but it's still fun.

Summary

A group of soldiers on leave are invited to stay at a wealthy friend's stately home. But while their host is distracted by a beautiful girl, the off-duty squaddies run riot in his house. Musical comedy, starring Frank Randle and Harry Korris.
