Review

Our Score
Tod Slaughter gives another of his outrageously over-the-top performances in this low-budget British horror picture, based on the real-life exploits of the infamous 19th-century grave robbers, Burke and Hare. Henry Oscar is equally larger-than-life (all right, hammy) as his partner in grisly crime. The melodramatic style of the piece verges on the comical nowadays, but, taken on its own terms, the sum of the parts verges on the adequate.

Summary

A grave robber and his accomplice loot the mortuaries and graveyards of Edinburgh in search of corpses, which they sell to a doctor at a respected medical academy. However, when they are unable to keep up with demand, they resort to murder to provide fresh bodies. Horror, starring Tod Slaughter and Henry Oscar.
