With this title, it would seem almost mandatory to have at least one frat party, but there isn't a Hawaiian shirt in sight. Instead we're presented with a family-friendly comedy vehicle for the increasingly unfunny Martin Lawrence and Disney Channel star, Raven-Symoné. Lawrence plays an overly protective police chief father who is determined that his daughter (Symoné) will end up at a university close to home. But when she's invited for an interview at a prestigious college on the other side of the country, Lawrence decides to accompany her on the road trip in the hope of talking her round. Needless to say, their journey doesn't go as planned and one disaster follows another. It's hard to decide what is the worst thing about this film: the shrill antics of Symoné, the desperate mugging of Lawrence or the lazy direction of Roger Kumble. But in the end it's Donny Osmond's excruciating turn as a parent with a penchant for show-tune duets that takes that particular honour.
