Review

Our Score
Two giants of British television, writer Jack Rosenthal and director Jack Gold, use the La Ronde style of storytelling to depict that most British of institutions: the housing chain. However, despite the presence of Denis Lawson, Nigel Hawthorne, Billie Whitelaw, Warren Mitchell and Leo McKern, the jokes fall rather flat. (Characters who remove every lightbulb when they vacate the premises, for example.) Nowadays, it's more interesting as a social record of the 1980s than as a broad comedy.

Summary

A philosophically minded removal man and his team of colleagues helps seven people move into the houses each in turn has vacated - but finds that all their prospective clients are facing crises in their lives. Ensemble comedy drama themed around the seven deadly sins, starring Warren Mitchell, Bernard Hill, Nigel Hawthorne, Leo McKern and Billie Whitelaw.
