Our Score
This frothy comedy is somewhat let down by the uncomfortable pairing of its two leads. Perky Ginger Rogers, then under contract to RKO and at her professional peak, and urbane Ronald Colman fail to spark in an American remake of Sacha Guitry's 1935 French film Bonne Chance. The romance seems too lightweight for Colman, under Lewis Milestone's experienced if slightly heavy-handed direction. Still, fans of the two great stars won't want to miss this.

A woman is wished good luck by a neighbour, and goes on to have a lucky day. Deciding he is a source of good fortune, she persuades him to share a sweepstake ticket with her. However, her fiance is not happy when their horse wins and they plan to go on holiday with the money. Romantic comedy, starring Ginger Rogers, Ronald Colman and Jack Carson.
