This frothy comedy is somewhat let down by the uncomfortable pairing of its two leads. Perky Ginger Rogers, then under contract to RKO and at her professional peak, and urbane Ronald Colman fail to spark in an American remake of Sacha Guitry's 1935 French film Bonne Chance. The romance seems too lightweight for Colman, under Lewis Milestone's experienced, if slightly heavy-handed, direction. Still, fans of the two great stars won't want to miss this.
