Our Score
In this fast-moving, comfortably familiar and thoroughly forgettable programme-filler, ex-cop George Raft, now a partner in a bail bond company with Pat O'Brien, decides to investigate the mysterious death of a suspect (Bill Williams) he has bailed out. Could his interest in the dead man's pretty widow (Ella Raines) have anything to do with his determination to solve the crime? Director Ted Tetzlaff efficiently disguises the uninspiring and occasionally woolly content with an overlay of pace.

When the client of a professional bail-bondsman is mysteriously murdered, he is prompted to investigate, leading to unforeseen complications. Crime drama, starring George Raft, Pat O'Brien, Bill Williams and Ella Raines.
