Review

Our Score
Eight years after the moderately successful Fortress, Christopher Lambert is inexplicably called back to reprise his role as a rebel imprisoned by an evil global corporation. In the first film, Lambert was banged up in a hi-tech underground prison. Here, he's incarcerated aboard an orbiting space slammer. Escaping involves lots of running down corridors and much noisy mayhem, which makes it hard to work out who's doing what to whom, and why. Less glossy and violent than the original, there's nothing especially wrong with Fortress 2. There's just nothing really new on offer here.

Summary

Troubled hero Brennick is captured once again by the Men-Tel corporation. This time he is imprisoned in a new sophisticated fortress on board a space station - but the evil regime doesn't reckon on Brennick's determination to ensure its downfall and return to his wife and son on Earth. Sci-fi thriller, starring Christopher Lambert, Patrick Malahide, Anthony C Hall and Liz May Brice.
