Olivia Goldsmith's bestselling novel is turned into a hilarious film by Police Academy director Hugh Wilson. Hollywood divas Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton give sparkling performances as the three wealthy New Yorkers who are reunited by the suicide of an old schoolfriend, who killed herself after discovering her husband's infidelity. With their own partners running off with much younger women (including Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker and Showgirls star - or is that refugee - Elizabeth Berkley), the trio come together to exact revenge and gain financial control, with Midler stealing the show from her two co-stars as the most deliciously vicious of them all. Terrific stuff.
