Our Score
The Absent-Minded Professor meets The Incredible Shrinking Man in this joyous, innocuous and thrilling Walt Disney adventure that will appeal to both young and old. Rick Moranis makes you laugh long and loud, as the wacky inventor whose molecular reducer shrinks his two kids, and the children next door, to the size of Tom Thumb's thumb. How they cope with giant insects and water sprinklers in their hazardous garden-turned-jungle makes for epic fantasy chills and spills, doubling as a neat eco-learning quest in the best Disney tradition.

Summary

A professor invents a ray with the power to reduce objects in size. Unfortunately, his kids and their meddling friends activate it and are shrunk to microscopic proportions. When they are accidentally thrown out with the rubbish, the children have to contend with all kinds of animals and insects on their journey home across the backyard. Disney comedy, with Rick Moranis, Marcia Strassman and Amy O'Neill.
