Review

Our Score
Dear, oh dear - there should be a law banning British directors from making so-called sex comedies. This largely laugh-free romp doesn't plumb quite the depths that the notorious Sex Lives of the Potato Men did, but it comes perilously close. Martin Freeman and Mandy Moore play a married couple whose sex life has lost its zing. They decide to spice it up by partner-swapping with other couples - cue some tepid swinging with the likes of Angus Deayton - but the film quickly abandons sex in favour of schmaltz. Freeman, in particular, could and should do better. Maybe he had time on his hands between Sherlock and The Hobbit, and nothing better to do. Doing nothing would have been better.

Summary

Alvin and Ellie Finkel find the passion has gone out of their relationship, and hit upon the idea of indulging in partner-swapping with other couples. However, finding suitable candidates for their sexual adventures proves harder than expected. Comedy, starring Martin Freeman, Mandy Moore, Melissa George and Jonathan Silverman.
