Our Score
Future Dallas star Jim Davis leads an expedition of scientists through the African jungle, courtesy of stock footage from Stanley and Livingstone (1939) and some cheap backlot trimmings. He's looking for a crashed space probe and its cargo of radioacatively enlarged wasps, but he needn't have bothered: after going on a weakly rendered trail of destruction, the inept wasps eventually stumble into an erupting volcano. Although just as ridiculous as producer Al Zimbalist's infamous clinker Robot Monster, this thick-witted trek through 1950s clichés is by far the more enjoyable bet.

Summary

Scientists head for Africa in search of giant wasps. Sci-fi horror, with Jim Davis and Robert E Griffin.
