Our Score
Scripted by George MacDonald Fraser (of Flashman fame) with close reference to the Alexandre Dumas classic, this is a sparkling version of the famous duel between the all-for-one quartet and Cardinal Richelieu and his scheming accomplice, Milady. Michael York gives D'Artagnan a clever twist of yokel to contrast him with his more worldly companions, who are played with wit and charm by Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain and Frank Finlay. The action has all the pace and unpredictability one has come to expect from director Richard Lester, while the villainous intrigue is done to a crisp by Charlton Heston, Christopher Lee and Faye Dunaway. It's fast, furious and fun.

A naive country boy arrives in Paris, keen to seek adventure and prove himself a swordsman. He falls in with a trio of roguish soldiers, and together they set out to save the queen from the schemes of a treacherous cardinal. Swashbuckling adventure, starring Oliver Reed, Michael York, Richard Chamberlain, Frank Finlay, Charlton Heston and Faye Dunaway.
